The NBA Final Four: Warriors, Thunder, Cavaliers, Raptors

first_imgLeBRON JAMESFinally, the NBA Final Four, with only one surprise. In the East the Cleveland Cavaliers have breezed through their competition sweeping the Detroit Pistons and the Atlanta Hawks, while the Toronto Raptors had to battle both the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat through 7 game series. In the West the Golden State Warriors breezed through the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers 4 games to 1 in each series despite the Steph Curry injury. The only surprise was the Oklahoma City Thunder upsetting the San Antonio Spurs 4-2 to earn the right to face the Warriors for the Western Conference title.RUSSELL WESTBROOKMost people are picking the Warriors because they are defending champions, and their record breaking 73-9 regular season. But just like the Spurs winning 67 games in the regular season and only losing one game on their home court didn’t matter to the Thunder, neither will the Golden State’s past accomplishments. This Thunder team is for real.An injury to Kevin Durant last season caused him to miss most of the season, and the Thunder missed the playoff for the first time in years. But he has been healthy this year and out to prove that he’s still one of the best 3 or 4 players in the game.last_img
